Greenblatt, iMentor

“You are truly an expert in the field of leading and managing people through change, and you are an exceptional teacher of adults.  Participating in your training took me through a rich emotional and intellectual journey, for which I am incredibly grateful.  As I shared with you, and the group, your stories and tools held a mirror up to how we operate and function as an organization.  I would, without hesitation, recommend any organization or team to come to you for support, guidance and thought leadership.  What you unlock for people is an incredible gift.”

– Daniel Greenblatt, Chief Operations Officer, iMentor

Building On Change®

The People Business, Inc. first copyrighted the ChangeBuilders® model for managing change in 1985. It has since been shared with and applied in multiple organizations and companies all over the United States. With the publication of Building On Change® Johnna has updated and revised this program to offer participants and trainers a more comprehensive workbook and guide. It is now being used by Teach For America and iMentor as they navigate organizational changes.

Building On Change® Newest Trainers!

On October 20-21, 2015 eight staff members of iMentor were certified in Building On Change® They are now prepared to teach and coach others in the organization as significant changes in structure, systems, staffing and culture are taking place as they grow to become a national organization.

These accomplished professionals learned the ChangeBuilders® model for managing change, applied it to specific scenarios from their workplace, and then taught each other what they had learned to prepare for workshops and coaching with their coworkers.

Congratulations!

Outside Perspective

Having an outside perspective has been tremendously valuable to us here at TFA while we go through some pretty significant organization-wide changes. The Change Builders® framework has allowed us to check our usual assumptions and ways of doing things in a refreshing and helpful way. What I have found most useful is the common language that we’ve been able to spread amongst our people, so that we can more clearly talk to each other about what we’re experiencing and what we need through change. We now have the license – and in fact the encouragement – to allow feelings and basic human needs to come into the conversation when discussing how to move not just an organization but its people through change, coming out into a “will be” that really reflects our values and our vision for our relationships with each other and with our partners.
